UK-based data analysis firm dunnhumby stated that it will hire more people in India in the coming months to further increase its presence.
Dunnhumby’s Chief Technology and Product Officer David Jack said as India is the bright spot for global retail business, the company has grown its global client base by over 25 percent in one year.
“It will be increasing its talent pool in India in the coming months,” Jack said in a statement.
He also added that India holds huge opportunities on account of its population size and fast moving retail sector.
Earlier this year, in an exclusive interview with People Matters, Denise Sefton, Global Chief People Officer, dunnhumby had also pointed out to the company’s intentions to increase headcount in India.
Denise had stated, “We have seen rapid growth in our India Data Science hub over the last ten years. We are expanding our offerings to new sectors and geographical regions. This means that we will continue to seek and hire great talent in data science, data engineering, and product development. India will help us stay ahead of the curve in this rapidly changing field.”
The UK based data science organization completed its 10 years in India this year and has some 400 employees in India. It has also been recognized many times as one of India’s best workplaces by the Great Places to Work® Institute.
