Some exports of Australian greyhounds to the United States will be allowed while the peak greyhound racing body completes a review of the scheme.

Greyhounds Australasia decided in September to suspend greyhound exports to the US for up to six months amid concerns the dogs are ending up in China.

Its board has now introduced interim measures under which it can lift the temporary suspension, with the review expected to be completed in March.
